Through the CLARE Opportunity Fund, two significant climate initiatives are gaining momentum in Asia. In order to enable officials at Provincial Municipal Learning Centers to establish gender-inclusive local adaptation plans of action, the Municipal Association (MuAN) in Nepal is creating a training manual and organising training programmes for all the PMLCs of Nepal.
In the meantime, ICLEI South Asia is spearheading a heat action plan for Bangladesh’s Narayanganj City Corporation, aimed at establishing a scalable model for other cities to address extreme heat impacts. These projects target essential local needs and leverage regional expertise, driving sustainable development across Bangladesh, Nepal, and India.
