CDKN Asia team partnered with ICIMOD in Nepal and developed a training module in PowerPoint mode and a training manual for climate resilience planning for municipalities in Nepal.
The Training Module powerpoints have been divided into different sections dealing with different aspects of climate resilience planning for local governments. The first section provides basic information about climate change and climate resilience for local governments. The following sections deal with engagement of local governments with stakeholders, baseline and emission inventorisation, climate risk and vulnerability assessment, resilience action planning and prioritisation, monitoring evaluation and scaling up and finally financing climate actions in local governments.
The Training Module powerpoints are designed for senior to mid-level municipal officials, such as environmental engineers, health officers and urban planners from the local authorities, elected representatives and executives/ professionals from local bodies/ other government agencies as well as practitioners and other decision-makers involved in climate resilience planning.
